Well, I have been on holiday – which forces my clients to somewhat beg their eBay account managers for attention, which is sometimes a hard thing to do.
But a client of mine in the sports category managed to get hold of his and have a darn good chat. We are doing everything by the book and eBay loves him! He is getting daily deals by the dozen, been asked to be included in the eBay Christmas catalogue – so why is he not a Top Seller…?
Feedback great, DSR score great, ‘low’ DSR score – not too great – and then the account manager said – oh?
Apparently, we have glowing positive feedback from some transactions with ALL the DSR scores at 1, almost 45 of them over the last few months, all domestic. Most of them have been tracked back to none other than my clients competitors, some speculated to be ‘linked’ accounts.
Sneaky and downright rude.
Once these have the dealt with, guess what? – my client gets to be a Top Seller, not loose £1000 per month in fee discounts and enjoy his raised search standing so he might not chuck in the towel with eBay.
So my advice to you is to give your eBay account manager a call and ask them to check for positive feedbacks with low DSR’s, especially if you are in the sports category.
And if this is something you do – watch ‘My name is Earl’ on Ch4, it’s all about the karma baby and you will get it in the end….
Comment if this happened to you!

This has happened to me, however, after hours on the phone, I have been told, they can not remove low DSR’s or feedback recently given by competitors

Oh? I will update when/if I get my clients removed.
There is obviously a case for eBay to prevent sellers reaching Top Seller Status as my main client would have to pay £1000 more a month come Jan for the same thing boosting eBay’s wallet. I imagine he will just leave and eBay will loose his fees forever if this is not rectified for January. In fact, he has said he will pull his listings Jan 1st if he is not a TRS.

We are looking for some dedicated “Vigilanties” to join our ebay covert scambusting team.
Is there anyone out there who wants to help keep ebay a safe and secure place to do business in and who has no confidence in ebay’s ability to stop obvious scams on ebay?

Well I am too busy for that task, but you might find volunteers in my readers. I post any ebay weirdness on my blog.

My clients issues were sorted by their account manager and one became TRS.

Any one that trust eBay to police it’s DSR or TRS program has a screw losse IMHO.
First thing eBay does if you catch an obvoious scammer is to hide all the data and then act as if they don’t know what you are talking about.
just how many scammers names must i publish where feedback is being sold for $0.01 a pop on the eBuster.co.uk site before eBay does something other than setting the dirty tricks department on to me again.
Sellers here should be looking for new ways of reaching the customers because the old eBay we all loved is well dead and it’s time to move on with your lives.
